The Shipping and Receiving Clerk oversees and documents the receiving of packages, parcels, and supplies, stores items in the appropriate areas, and prepares items for shipping. This position requires a highly organized personality. You must pay close attention to small details while managing the logistics of a high volume of items entering and leaving the facility. You must be able to lift up to twenty pounds unaided and be able to bend, crouch, and lift items throughout your shift.

- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
- Pick up and deliver material (mail, packages, product & equipment).
- Load and unload containers and trucks.
- Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
- Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
- Routes items to departments.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Operates forklift truck or uses manual and electric pallet jacks to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Set up and break down equipment and product for meetings and venues in conferences.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- A valid driver’s license
- At least 1-2 years of experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10(s) and 100(s).
- Ability to use units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to walk long and short distances.
- Ability to stand; sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, go up and down stairs.

Schedule
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday (Conference Travel as needed)
